Ceramic Engineering
Ceramic engineering is a branch of Engineering that deals with the study of properties, designs and applications of ceramic materials. The Ceramic industry covers everything from manufacturing small crafts to exporting pots to international organizations. Ceramic engineering connects with Ceramic technology. The traditional and modern way of using ceramics in day-to-day life over the years has brought substantial development in this field. In India, the Ceramic industry is growing at a fast pace with plenty of job opportunities. Advances in technology and demand in the market have expanded the applications of Ceramic engineering. Candidates who want to become Ceramic technologists should complete the following courses. Admissions are based on merit in entrance tests conducted by institutes or JEE.

Eligibility:
B.Tech:
✧ Candidates Should have Completed 10+2 and should score a minimum of 50% of marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
✧ Admissions are based on merit shown in JEE Mains entrance test for NITs and JEE Advanced test for IITs.
✧ Course Duration is 4 years.
M.Tech:
✧ Candidates Should have Completed B.Tech/ B.E or Bachelor's degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 50- 60% score.
✧ Admissions are based on merit shown in the GATE entrance exam, followed by counselling and personal interviews.
✧ Course Duration is 2 years.
Ph.D/ M.Phil:
✧ Candidates Should have Completed M.Tech/ M.E/ Master's degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 60% score.
✧ Admissions are based on merit shown in UGC NET/ SET/ CSIR NET/ JRF entrance tests, followed by counselling and personal interviews.
✧ Course Duration is 3- 5 years

✧ M.Tech- INR 30,000- 1,60,000
✧ Ph.D- INR. 1,50,000 Lakhs
